Upon arrival in Cremona in the early morning, the swarm of cheerful and helpful people immediately involves us making us participate.
We approach the Piazza del Duomo where the Cathedral itself, the Baptistery, the Torrazzo towering in all its height, and on the opposite side the Town Hall and the Loggia dei Militi overlook in sequence. The beauty of the square captures us emotionally.
Music, flowers and stalls of all kinds also surround the suggestiveness of this historic centre.
At lunchtime, a rich menu based on local products is then the occasion for an inviting restorative break at Cascina Moreni .
In the afternoon, guided through the halls of the famous Violin Museum, we visit what is still today the capital of the school of violin making. The thrill of being face to face with a " Stradivarius " played after five centuries is certainly strong and, for music lovers, imaginary notes reach the soul.
Full of all these experiences, including the discovery of how and where instruments that we will listen to in the forthcoming musical evenings are built, we return satisfied with our participation in the event. .
