A project is born to rediscover the roots of our town.
A journey through time to preserve memories and rebuild together the history of Brunello, from its origins up to the Seventies.
There are places that are not only houses, streets and squares, but tell stories of people, traditions and memories that span generations. Brunello is one of them.
From the desire to rediscover and preserve this heritage comes BRUNELLOieri, a historical reconstruction project promoted by ARTandCHARITY O.D.V., together with a group of volunteers, to enhance the town’s memory and pass it on to future generations.
The history of Brunello is also our history
Every photograph, document or story holds a fragment of the past. For this reason, a collection of materials has begun that will help us reconstruct Brunello’s evolution, its places, work activities, traditions and everyday life over time.
Photographs, postcards, books, newspapers, letters and personal accounts will be valuable pieces of this journey. Even a simple family memory can help restore a more complete picture of our community.
The history of Brunello lives in the memories of those who have lived there, loved it and shaped it over the years.
Yesterday’s voices to tell tomorrow
Alongside the documentary collection, we will produce video interviews with residents and former residents to gather experiences, memories and first-hand accounts.
We will listen to those who lived through the area’s changes, those who remember what the streets and houses were like, what trades were practiced and how life was lived in the village of the past. Precious stories that will help preserve histories otherwise bound to disappear.
An exhibition and a publication to share memory
The research work will lead to the creation of a historical exhibition and a publication dedicated to Brunello, with the aim of presenting the results by June 2027.
The collected materials will also be enhanced in digital format, to make them available online and accessible to everyone.
We want to build a documented, shared story, able to strengthen the town’s identity and the link between past, present and future.

To create BRUNELLOieri we need the cooperation of the whole community.
We invite citizens, families and former residents to make available photographs, documents, books, postcards, newspapers, letters and any other material useful for research.
Materials can be submitted at the ARTandCHARITY O.D.V. office at the following times:
- Monday and Friday: from 9:30 to 12:00
- Wednesday: from 14:30 to 18:00
