Who we are

ARTandCHARITY O.D.V. is a community of people united by a passion for Culture and Art, experienced as concrete tools for growth, inclusion, and solidarity. We believe in the value of shared ideas and in the power of cultural initiatives capable of generating real social impact.

Our mission

Our mission is to support charity through the promotion of culture and art. The project was born in 2017 from an intuition of Manuela Codazzi: using art as a universal language to help those in situations of vulnerability. From this vision, “ArtAndCharity” took shape, a name that simply tells who we are and what we do.

Our roots

The first step of our journey was an art exhibition organized at the Madri Pie di Noli (SV) Hotel, overlooking the Ligurian sea. Thanks to the availability of Mother General Silvana Pagliarino and Director Maurizio Rizzi, about ten artists brought to life an event full of enthusiasm and participation. The success of the initiative led to a second edition in 2018, with funds allocated to missionary projects in Peru and Madagascar.

The birth of the association

These results pushed us to structure our commitment, giving life to the Association “InTogo”, initially dedicated to humanitarian projects in Togo. An important role in this phase was played by the former president Cristian Katou, a young Togolese living in the province of Varese and deeply connected to his country of origin.

A path of growth

Over time, the desire to broaden our scope and respond to new needs led us to evolve. In July 2022 the association took the name ARTandCHARITY O.D.V. and elected Giovanni Tommasi as President, marking the beginning of a new phase of development and consolidation.

Our vision

We are convinced that Art and Culture are essential nourishment for individual and collective growth. Every project we carry out is born from the awareness that even a small gesture, a participation, a donation, can make a difference. ARTandCHARITY lives thanks to the contribution of those who choose to believe in a possible change.

Collaborations

We believe in the value of networks and collaboration. That’s why we are always open to working together with associations, organizations, groups, and entities that share our values, in compliance with statutory regulations. Together we can multiply opportunities and strengthen the impact of our initiatives.

“Azienda Amica” Program

Through the “Azienda Amica” program, companies, businesses, artisans, and freelancers can support ARTandCHARITY by actively contributing to our projects. Memberships can take place through liberal donations or dedicated collaborations.
In return, “Aziende Amiche” receive visibility on our communication channels, the opportunity to participate in exclusive events, and official recognition as supporters of culture and art for charitable purposes.
